Two Mullingar Players confirmed in Connaught Squad for 2009 Interpros |

Congratulations to Chris Russell and Ashley Weily on their inclusion in the Connaught Mens side for the 2009 Junior Interpros in Belfast on the weekend of th 18th and 19th of April. Mullingar HC would like to wish the two lads the best of luck and hopefully they can pick themselves up some silverware. |

Well done to the Men's 1 st 's on reaching the final of the Irish Challenge Trophy, the final will be on, on the 28 th March in Belfield, Donnybrook, across the road from RTE and the Montrose Hotel. We are hoping to have one, maybe two supporters' buses travelling on the day. And so are calling on all sports fans in the town to get behind the lads. Mullingar Announce Friendly in South Africa |

Mullingar Hockey Club are delighted to announce a friendly against Stellenbosch Old Boys at the
Stellenbosch University Astro Complex, Stellenbosch, South Africa on Sunday the 15th of February. The game will be played by travelling Mullingar mens players who are making the trip to the southern tip of Africa to attend the wedding of first team player Woody O'Neill. | Mullingar have rushed orders for their new away jerseys and should have them in time for their trip to omagh for the quarter final of the Irish Challenge Trophy. The jersey is predominantly yell w with a black trim, with a round neck and black numbers on the back. |

New Club Gear |

The Men are in currently in the process of ordering new gear from Panther Sports. The Kit of socks, shorts and jersey are compulsory for all members and are priced at €35. A Hoodie is priced at €45 and is optional. We have also been offered a package whereby as well as buying your kit if you also buy a club tracksuit for a combined price of €100, you will receive a free training top worth €35. Gear is being ordered very soon, please contact Chris Bull or Chris Russell to get yours! |

Champions League Draw |

The much anticipated Champions League pool will commence in the next few weeks. Teams are €25 each and the draw will be made before the group stage of the Uefa Champions League proper takes place on the 16th of September. 1st prize of €150 will go to the person who has the winning team while the runner up will receive €50.

Comedy night Raises close to €700 |

Thank you to all those who supported our Comedy night held in the Laughter Lounge in Dublin on the 31st of July. The night was a roaring success and e managed to raise an astounding 700 euro for the hockey club. Thank you again for supporting the club and look out for some of our other fantastic fundraisers. |

The season may be over but some of the mens squad members are kept very busy with their wedding preperations. First team defender Andrew Melbourne tied the knot at the end of july whilst second team player Woody O'Neill is set to marry in a lavish ceremony in the South African province of stellenbosch in mid february. Woody is also celebrating the recent birth of his and Melissa's first bambino, Rian, who was born in May. The Hockey Club would like to pass on its congratulations to both couples and wish them continued success...
